As your Police and Crime Commissioner, I’m here to give you a voice on police and crime matters. My job is to oversee our police force because that’s what it is – our force.
Thanks to everyone who took part in my huge public consultation recently on fighting crime and preventing crime.
With your help, we now have a new four year plan for policing priorities in our region.
I will make sure Northumbria Police delivers on these commitments to keeping you, your family, and your community safe. This not just a plan for the now but for future generations and has been designed to see us through a crucial period of recovery that will follow the Covid pandemic.
The plan was officially launched on Friday 12th February, where I was delighted to be joined by the Chief Constable to talk through the plan, what it means for our communities and what residents can expect to see locally. We committed to making more information available to the public, sharing how we were delivering the plan and answered your questions on the topics that mattered most to you. You can watch the launch here.
Along with my team, I look forward to working with Northumbria Police to put this plan into action and you can keep up to date with all the work that is happening via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. You can also contact me via email enquiries@northumbria-pcc.gov.uk.
Keep in touch,
Kim McGuinness
